The Ferwon Study

Do you have an iron deficiency and don't respond well to oral iron medications? You may be eligible to join our research study!
In this study, participants who do not respond well to oral iron medications or who need to raise their iron levels quickly will receive an investigational medication or Venofer®, an already approved iron medication. If you join this study, it may last up to 15 weeks. You will receive study medications an medical tests at no cost to you.

You may qualify for this study if you:
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have been diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia caused by a disease or condition, such as abnormal menstrual bleeding, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, gastric bypass operations, or other conditions leading to significant blood loss.

The IBS-D Research Study

Feeling overrun by abdominal pain and diarrhea?
Currently, the most commonly used IBS-D treatment, loperamide (Imodium), is not approved for chronic use and does not provide adequate control of symptoms for all people.  Eluxadoline is an approved IBS-D treatment that is being studied to better understand safety and effectiveness. All study-related visits, tests and treatments will be provided at no cost. In addition, compensation for study-related time and travel may be provided.
You may qualify for this study if you:
  • Are 18-80 years of age 
  • Be diagnosed with IBS-D or have a history of abdominal pain and diarrhea consistent with a diagnosis of IBS-D.
  • Have used loperamide (Imodium) in the prior 12 months, and use of loperamide did not provided adequate control of your IBS-D symptoms.

Plaque Psoriasis study
We are looking for males and non-Pregnant females ages 12-18 that have raised, inflamed, red patches on their body covered with white scales.
